TimeLine International operates with one fundamental premise: Genesis to Revelation is God-breathed revelation and Christ himself provided us with the framework to properly approach New Testament prophecy: “Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms” (Luke 24:44).
God has given us two witnesses: the Old and New Testaments.
If the Old Testament foretold what would come to pass in the future, then the Old Testament set God’s precedent: New Testament prophecy must be in agreement with the precedent set in Old Testament prophecy. The Old Testament is God’s standardnot only for behavior but also prophecy. Herein, we as Christ’s church need not be blown about with every wind of doctrine on the subject of prophecy. God already established the irrefutable standard in the Old Testament.
There is a divine harmony of divine revelation to be found in the Bibleand it is ours for the asking.
All throughout the New Testament, Christ and his apostles quoted Old Testament prophets to show us the fulfillment of prophecy or what shall be fulfilled. In essence, New Testament prophecy must be understood not only through the eyes of the apostles but the prophets as well. Prophecies about our present salvation and future salvation are found throughout the Old Testament.
During his first coming to the Holy Land, Christ heralded the good news of the New Covenant, but it wasn’t until after his ascension that he revealed pieces of the puzzle (mysteries) hidden within the Old Testament. Together, Christ’s revelation from the Holy Land and his revelation from Heaven complete the picture that began with Moses. There is a distinction between the Old and New Testaments, but there is also continuity.
There is one author, God, who gave us sixty-six books in the Bible. The Creator speaks with one voice, but with different perspectives on identical subjects. Consider Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Why four Gospels? They speak to the same subject, only with different perspectives so as to paint the fullness of the whole picture. God designed the whole Bible this way: different writers speaking to identical subjects providing unique pieces of the divine puzzle.
As you read through this Web site, you can expect to find answers to your questions about prophecy. This site is your place to begin; it is the foundationand there is more that TimeLine International has to offer.
I have written a book titled, The Prophecy, which addresses The Book of Revelation. The Book of Revelation is the only book in the Bible that has a numbered, chronological presentation of prophecy. Why else would Christ number the prophecies but to show us the chronological order of end-time events?
The Prophecy (first edition) has five chapters that address the following: The Book of Revelation, Spiritual Warfare, Salvation, Divine Tongues, and Eternal Crowns. The Prologue addresses recent scientific evidence and the harmony between science and the Scriptures. The book is designed to personalize the Bible, and make it living and real for all who seek to understand how it applies to this life and the next.
For additional information about the book, click The Prophecy.
The next book to be published by TimeLine International is titled, The Prophet Moses and the Apostle John.
Currently, TimeLine International presents biblical research here on its Web site, in the book titled, The Prophecy, and in seminars that include: The Book of Revelation, The Divine Sign of Divine Tongues, and The Prophetic Holy Days: The First and Second Coming of Christ.
THE SEMINARS
1. The Book of Revelation. What is it about? Christ told John and all we need to do is allow Christ to speak to us: “Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter” (Rev. 1:19).
2. The Divine Sign of Divine Tongues. What is this about? All we need to do is allow Christ to speak to us: “These signs will accompany those who believe . . . they will speak in new tongues” (Mark 16:17).
3. The Prophetic Holy Days: The First and Second Coming of Christ. What is this about? All we need to do is allow Paul to speak to us: “Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival [holy day], a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come” (Col. 2:16, 17).
If you would like to see how prophecies throughout the Old and New Testaments drop right into the numbered chronology of Revelation, or if you would like to speak forth the divine sign of tongues, or if you would like to see God’s divine planwhich was set in motion with Moses and how it is fulfilled in Christthen first review the appropriate articles on the homepage of this site, and then write me, Dr. William Ayles, at williamayles@thetimeline.org about participating in a seminar.
The next seminar is The Divine Sign of Divine Tongues. It will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2009 from 2 pm 4 pm. For details, just drop me an email.
In Christ,
Dr. William Ayles
